Ivan Saha Takes Charge as Managing Director of JAKSON Engineers

JAKSON Engineers, part of JAKSON Group, an energy and infrastructure conglomerate, has announced the appointment of Ivan Saha as Managing Director. He will lead JAKSON’s integrated Solar Manufacturing business, overseeing technology, manufacturing operations and business growth.

With over 31 years of experience across the semiconductor, solar and sustainable energy sectors, Mr. Saha brings deep technical, operational and business expertise. His appointment comes as JAKSON strengthens its manufacturing footprint and advances its large-scale backward integration plans across the solar value chain.

Welcoming Saha, Mr. Sameer Gupta, Chairman, JAKSON Group, said, “JAKSON has always taken a long-term view while building businesses that address evolving energy needs. Ivan’s experience will support our continued investment in advanced manufacturing and contribute to the Group’s growth.”

Sharing his perspective on the sector, Sundeep Gupta, Vice Chairman, JAKSON Group, said, “As solar manufacturing becomes more integrated and digitalised, process control, quality and cost efficiency will increasingly shape competitiveness. Ivan’s relevant experience in these domains will be valuable as JAKSON advances its manufacturing plans.”

Saha brings extensive leadership experience in the renewable energy and photovoltaic sectors. Prior to joining JAKSON, he served as CEO of Reliance Infrastructure’s renewable manufacturing business. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Executive Officer of Vikram Solar, having previously held the positions of Chief Technology Officer and Head of Manufacturing at the company. He also served as Chief Technology Officer at ReNew Power and held key leadership roles at Moser Baer Photovoltaic and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Saha has actively engaged in industry forums, having served as Chairman of FICCI’s National Task Force on Solar Manufacturing and of CII’s Eastern Region Energy Council. He is currently the Co-Chair of the ‘International Technology Roadmap for Photovoltaic (ITRPV)’ Board and a member of the World Solar Congress Advisory Board. An accomplished technologist, he has authored more than 65 research papers and filed over 10 patent applications in photovoltaic technology.

Saha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Technology from the University of Calcutta and a Master of Technology degree in Materials Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from Motorola University.
