The water & effluent treatment business of L&T Construction has secured Rs. 2,388 crore orders. The company will be executing project for Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam Maryadit on a turnkey basis at Satna, Kundaliya and Mohanpura Multi Village Rural Water Supply Schemes. As per the agreement the company's scope of work includes design, engineering, supply & erection of 11,272 km of raw and clear water transmission & distribution pipelines.
The company will also undertake construction of intake wells, 3 water treatment plants with a cumulative capacity of 260 MLD, 1.5 Km of D-shaped tunnel, pump houses, clear water reservoirs, master balancing reservoirs, 129 ML water storage structures with associated electromechanical & instrumentation works and house service connections.
An EPC contract has also been secured from the Tirunelveli Municipal Corporation. For the corporation the company will construct 225 km of sewer pipelines, RCC manholes, pumping stations and lifting stations. It will also provide sewer connections to 55,000 households.
