Salasar Techno Engineering Completes Rs. 170.17 Crore Udaipur–Himmatnagar Railway Electrification Corridor
Salasar Techno Engineering has completed the electrification of the 210-RKM (234.99 TKM) Udaipur–Himmatnagar rail corridor, now dedicated to the Nation. Awarded by RITES, a Schedule ‘A’ Enterprise of the Government of India, on behalf of the Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, North Western Railway, Jaipur, the project carried a contract value of approximately Rs. 170.17 crore and covered the section from Udaipur City (Excl.) to Himmatnagar (Excl.) in the Ajmer Division.
The scope covered 25 kV OHE electrification, general electrification of Traction Sub-Stations, civil engineering works, track works, and signalling and telecommunication works. The project was executed across multiple sites, including Traction Sub-Stations at Dungarpur and Vantada, along with nine Sectioning/Sub-Sectioning Post stations at Zawar, Jai Samand, Semari, Rikhab Dev, Bechhiwara, Lusadiya, Shamlaji, Raigadh and Himmatnagar.
At each site, Salasar carried out structure erection, transformer and equipment installation, SCADA integration, earthing and cabling works, and signalling and telecom works.
The corridor was delivered in three phases, with each phase independently verified by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) or through RITES inspection, reinforcing the project’s technical and safety standards. The electrified line supports faster and cleaner train movement between Rajasthan and Gujarat, in line with India’s vision for sustainable rail logistics.
