PM Modi to flag off new Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two new metro lines – 2A and Line 7 – in Mumbai today. The flag off of the metro train will be held at Gundavali station. Metro 2A (yellow line) will connect Dahisar East to DN Nagar in Andheri West; while Line 7 (red line) will run from Dahisar East to Gundavali, Andheri East. PM Modi will take a ride on the new Metro line from Gundavali to Mogra before returning to Gundavali station.
The foundation stone of of these lines were laid by PM Modi in 2015. The two new metro lines are constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.12,600 crore.
Both the metro lines will be open to the public on 20 January.
