K2 Infragen bags power substation project worth 34.57 crores

K2 Infragen has bagged an order of Rs 34.57 crore for the Augmentation of 132KV Main Receiving Station (MRS) at Malanjkhand Copper Project in Balaghat District, Madhya Pradesh. The contract from Hindustan Copper was awarded to Naresh Agarwal Constructions and shall be executed by K2 Infragen. This is K2 Infragen’s first major order in the power transmission & distribution segment, which reflects the diverse engineering capabilities of the company. The company’s robust order book stands at Rs 486 crore and the order pipeline has expanded to Rs.900 crore , reflecting the momentum it has gained in both domestic and international markets. With a strong project pipeline and ambitious goals, K2 Infragen aims to surpass Rs.450 crore in revenue by FY26, fuelled by strategic expansion across India and key regions, including Africa and the Middle East.

Commenting on this milestone, Pankaj Sharma, Managing Director, K2 Infragen, stated, “We are delighted to be onboard for this prestigious project. This order is in line with our vision to build a commendable force enabling EPC projects and services in all domains of infrastructure. Our Power Transmission & Distribution vertical will grow stronger in the upcoming months as we are gearing up for larger orders in this industry which is predicted to grow at a CAGR of above 20% up till 2030. We have strong technical capabilities & financials to execute larger power transmission & distribution projects including solar EPC projects and this is just a beginning.”

K2 Infragen has been at the forefront of several major infrastructure initiatives in India. Notably, the company is striving to play a key role in connecting India through NHAI projects, contributing to critical road development projects across the country. The company is also a key player in the Jal Jeevan Mission, working to enhance water supply infrastructure and improve access to clean drinking water nationwide. In addition to these flagship projects, K2 Infragen is planning to be an aggressive player in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) & Railway projects. The T&D projects include the construction of substations, OHE, transmission lines, and distribution networks, which are vital to improving India’s energy infrastructure and meeting the growing demand for electricity.
