Ramco Cements’ CSR project “Promotion of Sanitation & Hygiene through SMART toilets in Ariyalur district” has been recognized and awarded by The Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
The Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industries instituted the MCCI CSR Awards in the year 2018. Since then every year the award is given to recognize the social impact created by innovative CSR practices in Tamil Nadu.
The award recognizes CSR projects implemented collaboratively by Corporate and NGOs for the larger social good, implemented with accountability, transparency, and a measurable impact on society.
This year, based on a well-structured criterion and with an acclaimed panel of Jury, the awardees were selected from a host of projects submitted to the chamber. Ramco Cements’ project in collaboration with NGO partner Gramalaya was adjudged, second runner-up.
The awards were given on 31st January 2023 in Chennai. C.K. Ranganathan, Chairman of Cavin care handed over the awards. The Award was received by Ravichandran (Sr. VP-ESG) & Vishnu. K (Asst. Manager – CSR) from Ramco Cements and Elangovan (Executive Director) & Senthil (Project Manager) from Gramalaya NGO.
