How do you envision the role of the CE industry in contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047?
The Construction Equipment (CE) industry is a critical enabler of India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Achieving this ambition will require infrastructure development at an unprecedented scale and speed. The CE sector plays a vital role in translating policy initiatives into tangible infrastructure assets that support economic growth and national progress. In the concrete construction segment, this transformation is being driven by increasing mechanization and automation. High-capacity Batching Plants, advanced stationary concrete pumps, and long-reach boom pumps enable the efficient execution of complex infrastructure projects, including metro systems, high-speed rail corridors, ports, airports, and high-rise developments. These technologies help improve construction quality, accelerate project timelines, reduce material wastage, and enhance overall productivity.

What are the key demand drivers shaping growth in the CE sector amid India’s expanding infrastructure pipeline?
The growth of the CE industry is being driven by strong investments across multiple infrastructure segments. Large-scale initiatives under the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP), expressway development programmes, dedicated freight corridors, and high-speed rail projects are creating significant demand for advanced construction equipment. At the same time, rapid urbanisation, the rising demand for high-rise residential and commercial developments, and the continued expansion of metro rail networks across Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities are further accelerating equipment requirements. Additionally, investments in hydroelectric projects, nuclear power facilities, renewable energy developments, ports, and industrial corridors are generating demand for high-capacity and reliable construction solutions. Together, these sectors require continuous, high-volume concrete placement and efficient project execution, making modern, automated construction equipment an essential component of infrastructure delivery.

How is your organization enhancing productivity, efficiency, and reliability through advanced machinery and equipment solutions?
As project timelines become increasingly demanding, equipment reliability and operational efficiency have become critical success factors. Our focus is on delivering technologically advanced, robust, and high-performance solutions that maximize uptime and productivity. Our modern boom pumps feature multi-fold boom designs that provide greater flexibility and reach, enabling precise concrete placement even in congested urban environments and complex infrastructure projects. Similarly, our stationary concrete pumps are equipped with advanced pumping systems, high-performance S-valves, and durable delivery pipelines, supporting efficient high-pressure pumping applications, including high-rise construction and long-distance concrete placement. In addition, our batching plants incorporate twin-shaft mixer technology, ensuring consistent and homogeneous mixing of high-grade concrete to meet the stringent quality requirements of large-scale infrastructure projects. By combining advanced engineering, durable components, and efficient hydraulic systems, we help customers improve productivity while minimizing downtime and operating costs.

In what ways are digital technologies transforming equipment performance, monitoring, and project execution?
Digital technologies are fundamentally transforming the construction equipment industry by making equipment smarter, more connected, and significantly more efficient. Advanced telematics and IoT-enabled fleet monitoring solutions allow project managers to track real-time machine parameters, concrete pumping volumes, fuel consumption, and the exact geographical location of equipment, thereby improving operational visibility and control. Predictive maintenance technologies further enhance equipment reliability by continuously monitoring critical machine parameters and identifying potential issues before they result in unexpected breakdowns. Sensor data can track component wear, oil degradation, and pressure fluctuations, enabling proactive servicing and helping ensure uninterrupted operations during critical continuous pours. In batching plants, fully computerised control systems eliminate human error in aggregate-to-water ratios, ensuring that every batch meets stringent quality and compliance standards. As infrastructure projects become larger and more complex, digitalization will continue to play a critical role in enhancing productivity, reliability, and operational efficiency.

How are sustainability, fuel efficiency, and emission norms influencing equipment design and operations?
Sustainability has become a key consideration in equipment design and project execution. With increasing focus on reducing carbon emissions and improving environmental performance, manufacturers are investing in cleaner technologies, fuel-efficient systems, and resource-optimized solutions. As India targets net-zero carbon emissions, green engineering is reshaping product development. The transition to strict domestic emission regulations (like CEV Stage V norms) has accelerated the adoption of cleaner, highly efficient powertrain designs. Modern concrete pumps utilize closed-loop hydraulic systems that maximize output per litre of fuel consumed, drastically reducing the overall carbon footprint per cubic meter of concrete placed.  In addition, stationary pumps and batching plants are increasingly running on clean electrical grids rather than diesel aggregates wherever site infrastructure permits, lowering both localized emissions and operational costs. Resource conservation is also being enhanced through advanced batching systems that incorporate recycling facilities to wash out aggregates and reuse greywater, thereby minimising raw material waste and promoting more sustainable construction practices at project sites.

What emerging opportunities do you foresee in segments such as roads, railways, mining, urban infrastructure, and renewable energy projects?
India’s infrastructure growth story continues to create significant opportunities across multiple sectors. Urban infrastructure, including metro rail projects, high-rise developments, and smart city initiatives, will remain key demand drivers for advanced concrete equipment solutions. In the urban transit and metro segment, the vertical expansion of Indian cities is creating a growing need for compact and agile concrete pumping solutions that can operate efficiently within restricted spaces without disrupting urban traffic.  In the roads and airport infrastructure segment, high-output batching plants and slipform paving technologies are becoming increasingly important for the rapid construction of thousands of kilometres of rigid concrete pavements and runways. The renewable energy sector also presents substantial opportunities, as the construction of large wind turbine foundations and hydroelectric infrastructure requires specialised, high-durability concrete placing equipment capable of operating in remote and challenging terrains. Overall, India’s long-term infrastructure agenda provides a strong growth platform for the construction equipment industry and will continue to drive technology adoption, innovation, and capacity expansion across the sector.

How is your organization strengthening its presence in global markets and contributing to India’s positioning as a manufacturing hub?
India has emerged as an increasingly important manufacturing and export base for the global construction equipment industry. With a strong engineering ecosystem, skilled workforce, and growing manufacturing capabilities, the country is well-positioned to serve both domestic and international markets. We being the world leaders in the concrete industry, we continue to invest in manufacturing excellence, technology, quality systems, and localization initiatives to enhance our global competitiveness. Our facilities support the production of world-class concrete equipment that meets international performance and quality standards and is exported to markets across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and other regions. By combining global technology with local manufacturing expertise, we are contributing to the Government of India’s vision of strengthening the country’s position as a preferred manufacturing hub while supporting the broader objective of “Make in India for the World.”
