Enerpac has launched its newest innovation, the “LU-Series Lightweight Electric Hydraulic Torque Wrench Pump,” a compact, portable, and purpose-built solution designed to improve safety, efficiency, and ease of use in intermittent bolting applications.

Engineered for maintenance, repair, and field-service operations, the LU-Series addresses a longstanding industry challenge: the use of large, continuous-duty hydraulic pumps for smaller, localized torque applications. By delivering the performance required for critical bolting tasks in a significantly lighter, more compact design, the LU-Series helps maintenance crews work more efficiently across remote and demanding industrial environments. The LU-Series weighs just 15 kg when empty, making it one of the lightest pumps in its class. This lightweight, compact design, combined with balanced lifting points and ergonomic handling features, enables operators to transport, position, and set up the equipment more easily in confined spaces, elevated work areas, and remote industrial locations. As a result, maintenance teams can move equipment more easily, simplify deployment in challenging work environments, and complete bolting tasks more efficiently, helping minimize downtime and accelerate maintenance schedules. Specifically calibrated for torque wrench duty cycles, the pump delivers reliable performance without the size, weight, and complexity of conventional hydraulic pumping systems, supporting greater operational productivity and ease of use in the field.

Built for real-world industrial conditions, the LU-Series features a rugged roll-cage design, reinforced front protection, and an over-temperature monitoring system that helps safeguard equipment performance during operation. The pump is tested to more than 50,000 cycles and operates in temperatures ranging from -34°C to 50°C, ensuring dependable performance across a wide range of applications and environments.

As India continues to expand investments across renewable energy, oil and gas, mining, and large-scale infrastructure projects, maintenance teams are increasingly required to operate in remote and difficult-to-access locations. Designed with portability at its core, the LU-Series enables technicians to easily carry and deploy the pump at wind turbine sites, offshore platforms, mining operations, and industrial facilities where transporting heavier conventional pumps can be challenging. Its lightweight design helps simplify maintenance activities while improving operational efficiency in the field.

The LU-Series delivers hydraulic pressure up to 700 bar and is compatible with Enerpac’s range of hydraulic torque wrenches, making it suitable for a broad spectrum of controlled bolting applications. By significantly reducing the physical effort required to transport and position conventional 30–40 kg pumps, the LU-Series enables faster deployment and greater flexibility for maintenance crews operating in remote and demanding environments. The product is available globally through Enerpac’s distributor network and is backed in India by local service support and operator training through the Enerpac Academy in Bengaluru.
