Ramco Cements gets gold award for Environment, Health & Safety Excellence

The Ramco Cements, Alathiyur Plant, has received Gold Award for excellence in Environment, Health and Safety practices in the CII- SR EHS Excellence Awards for the year 2021.

The award was given during the 14th Edition award ceremony at Hotel ITC Grand Chola, Chennai on 29th March 2022. A total of 194 industries participated in these awards. In the cement sector, apart from Ramco, the participants included Ambuja, India Cements, Dalmia and KCP. Some of the participants from other sectors included Hyundai Motors, L&T Construction, Kothari Petrochemicals, Ashok Leyland, Alstom, Toyota, ITC Limited, CTS Hyderabad, Wabco India Ltd., etc.

The award was presented by T T Ashok, Ex-Chairman, CII-SR & MD,Taylor Rubber Pvt Ltd.,

The plant also received a special EHS Category Award for Best Water Management in the captive thermal power plant.
