MIC Electronics Secures ₹4.45 Crore Eastern Railway Orders for Passenger Information Systems
MIC Electronics has secured Letters of Acceptance (LoAs) worth approximately ₹4.45 crore from Eastern Railway’s Howrah Division for the deployment of advanced Passenger Information and Communication Systems (PIS).
The contracts were awarded through two separate competitive tenders and involve the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of digital passenger information systems across multiple railway stations in the Howrah Division. The projects are to be completed within six months from the date of issuance of the LoAs.
According to the company, the scope includes installation of railway information display systems and associated infrastructure in compliance with Eastern Railway’s technical and safety standards.
The order strengthens MIC Electronics’ presence in India’s railway digital infrastructure segment and supports Indian Railways’ ongoing station modernisation and passenger communication initiatives.
Rakshit Mathur, CEO, MIC Electronics Limited, said the contracts reflect continued confidence in the company’s execution capabilities and technology offerings. “We remain focused on delivering reliable and future-ready digital solutions that enhance passenger experience and align with Indian Railways’ modernisation roadmap,” he said.
With the new contracts, MIC Electronics expands its footprint in the Howrah Division and enhances revenue visibility for FY 2025–26. The company continues to focus on Passenger Information Systems (PIS), IPIS, PAPIS, display technologies and integrated communication solutions for railway and public infrastructure projects across India.
