Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (UAE) attracting Indian companies

Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), a powerhouse business and industrial hub established by the Government of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates is attracting lots of Indian corporate houses to expand their operations  in Ras Al Khaimah.
 
More than 50 high-profile Indian business leaders have discovered the advantages of expanding their operations to Ras Al Khaimah. Strategically located, RAKEZ offers the corporate houses easy access to fast growing markets not only in Middle East but in markets like, North Africa, Europe, South and Central Asia. It is well connected to various countries through road and its five ports. Ras Al Khaimah currently hosts over 14,000 companies coming from over 100+ countries and operating in more than 50 industries.
 
RAKEZ offers entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs and manufacturers a wide-range of solutions, including free zone and non-free zone licences, customisable facilities, and first-class services provided in a one-stop shop. Furthermore, RAKEZ has six specialised zones that are tailored to specific needs of investors: a Business Zone for commercial and service companies; Al Ghail, Al Hamra and Al Hulailah Industrial Zones for manufacturers and industrialists; a Media Zone for the creative firms; and an Academic Zone for educational providers.
 
Speaking on the occasion Group CEO Ramy Jallad, Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone, said, “India is deeply rooted in RAKEZ’s DNA. To put that into context, RAKEZ hosts over 3,100 SMEs and over 230 industrialists from India, making up to nearly a quarter of the economic zone’s total company population. Solely this year, RAKEZ has registered nearly 700 companies out of the over 11,000 enquiries it has received from Indian businessmen since January. We have opened a new office in Mumbai and conducted a six-city roadshow across India to create awareness about RAKEZ.”
 
RAKEZ has been witnessing interest from Indian manufacturing leaders in the fields of food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and consumer care, among others. RAKEZ, aims to continue attracting diversified investment opportunities that will contribute to the economic growth of Ras Al Khaimah. Companies like Ashok Leyland, Dabur, GK Technologies have been already operational since long and over 50 more Indian companies which includes, DCM Shriram, LT Foods, MSN Labs have shown interest in setting up there office in Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone in the UAE.
