The Government has entered into a collaborative agreement with Google for effective flood management. As per the agreement, Google will share its advances in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning and geo spatial mapping for effective water resources management especially flood forecasting and dissemination of flood related information using Google platform. The collaborative agreement was signed between Central Water Commission and Google. Central Water Commission (CWC) is India’s apex technical organization in the field of Water Resources.
With this agreement, CWC will be able to forecast flood in advance and take necessary action with the help of geospatial mapping and analysis.
