Roads and Highways construction companies Dilip Buildcon and IRB Infrastructure bagged Roads and Highways projects this week.
Dilip Buildcon-HCC Joint Venture was declared as L-1 bidder for a new EPC Project worth ₹ 1900.08-crore. As per the filing to the stock exchanges, the company informed that it will be executing 'Construction of New Link NH-133B from Km 0.200 (Km 200.700 of Sahibganj Bypass) in Jharkhand to Km 15.885 (Km 25.240 of NH-131A) including Ganga Bridge and Construction of Manihari Bypass from Km 0.000 (Km 25.240 of NH-131A) to Km 5.500 (Km 34.100 of NH-131A near Narenpur) and widening of NH-131A from Km 5.500 (Km 34.100 of NH-131A) to Km 6.000 (Km 34.600 of Nh-131A) in the state of Bihar to 4 lane Standards on EPC Mode Project.' The completion period of the project is 48 months.
The company also bagged road project worth ₹ 882-crore project in Gujarat from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). In the filing to the stock exchanges Dilip Buildcon informed it being declared as L-1 bidder for a new HAM project viz. 'Four Laning of Dhrol – Bhadra Patiya section and Bhadra Patiya – Pipaliya Section of NH-151A in the state of Gujarat on 'Hybrid Annuity Mode'.
IRB Infrastructure bagged BOT project worth ₹ 2,193 crores under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, in West Bengal. In a filing to stock exchanges IRB informed it will be executing '6 Laning of National Corridor NH-19 from Palsit to Dankuni (up to NH-6 Connector) from km. 588.870 to km. 652.700 (total design length 63.830 km) in the State of West Bengal under Bharatmala Pariyojana to be executed on BOT (Toll) basis'.
The Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Government of India through International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) is developing technology platform for automotive industry called ASPIRE – Automotive Solutions Portal for Industry, Research and Education. The key objective of this portal is to facilitate the Indian Automotive Industry to become self reliant by assisting in innovation and adoption of global technological advancements by bringing together the stakeholders from various associated avenues.

With an objective to leverage the intellectual prudence of students and faculty towards improvement of road infrastructure ecosystem of the country NHAI approached all IITs, NITs and reputed Engineering Colleges to collaborate and adopt nearby stretches of NH, on voluntary basis, as part of Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR).
