The level of engagement and enthusiasm from both industry stakeholders and attendees has exceeded our expectations
How is the response for the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2024?
The response at this year's expo has been nothing short of exceptional. We've observed a significant uptick in interest compared to last year, particularly in the solar sector. The level of engagement and enthusiasm from both industry stakeholders and attendees has exceeded our expectations. This surge reflects the growing recognition of solar energy's potential and its crucial role in the renewable energy landscape. It's clear that the momentum in this sector is accelerating, driven by increased awareness and commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
Compared to last year, what are the advancements you are seeing over here?
One of the most notable advancements this year is the growing localization of products. We’ve seen a clear shift, with Indian companies now taking a more prominent role in the market. While there are fewer foreign exhibitors compared to previous years, this is actually a positive indication of the strengthening of our domestic capabilities and expertise. The fact that more Indian companies are leading the way underscores the progress we are making toward becoming self-reliant in the renewable energy sector. Moreover, we’ve observed a significant increase in production capacity, which is another encouraging sign of the industry’s growth. This not only points to the expanding capabilities of Indian manufacturers but also reflects the overall maturity and confidence of the local market. These developments collectively signal that the industry is evolving rapidly, embracing innovation, and scaling up to meet the growing demand for renewable energy solutions. making.
What are the products you have showcased over here?
As an EPC company, we have showcased a comprehensive portfolio of our completed and ongoing projects. This includes our large-scale solar parks and wind parks, which are either under execution or in various stages of development. These projects highlight our technical expertise and the scope of work we’re involved in across the renewable energy sector. Additionally, we’ve shared our future roadmap, providing insights into how we plan to expand and grow in the coming years. We’ve outlined our strategic goals, the new technologies we aim to adopt, and the upcoming projects that will shape our trajectory. This presentation not only demonstrates our current achievements but also reflects our commitment to innovation and our vision for contributing to a sustainable energy future
What are your launches over here?
We are showcasing several exciting projects here, including our ongoing solar and wind parks, which are currently under development. One of the key highlights is the ISTS substation, and we are showcasing approximately 3 gigawatts of solar parks that have been launched as part of this initiative. Additionally, we have introduced our roadmap for the manufacturing side of our business, using this platform to outline our plans for future growth and expansion in that area.
What are the challenges facing the solar EPC players in India and how are you overcoming it?
Land acquisition remains one of the key challenges we face, and it’s something we need to address on a day-to-day and project-to-project basis. However, with over 13 years of experience in the field, we’ve developed the expertise to navigate this more efficiently than many others. The second major challenge is grid connectivity. The generation capacity is growing at a faster rate than the grid’s ability to absorb it, leading to congestion and limited evacuation capacity. While this poses a significant hurdle, the government is actively working on expanding grid infrastructure by developing new substations and grids. It’s a continuous process, but progress is being made.
Do you think India will reach its target of 500 gigawatts of renewable energy? Additionally, how is your company aligning its efforts with this objective?
As India aims to scale from its current capacity of 60-70 gigawatts to 500 gigawatts, which represents nearly a 10x growth, we are aligning our company’s strategy with this ambitious goal. We are planning a similar leap in our installed and commissioned capacity. To date, we have completed around 1.6 gigawatts, and we have set a target of reaching 10 gigawatts by 2030. This roadmap reflects our commitment to contributing significantly to India's renewable energy objectives.
