Wabag bags EPC order from Public Works Authority of Qatar

VA Tech Wabag in a filing to BSE has announced that it has received EPC order worth Rs. 555 crores approximately (Qatari Riyal 275 Million) from the Public Works Authority of Qatar (ASHGHAL). This is the first major EPC order that company has bagged in Qatar.

The order is from ASHGHAL is a Design & Build project. The scope of the work includes rehabilitation of Doha South Sewage Treatment Works using lamella clarifier, disc filter and aerobic digester technology to treat the additional sewage generated by the football stadium, which is under construction for the FIFA World Cup 2022. The project is scheduled to be delivered over a period of 24 months, while the existing plant is in operation.
