Suzlon Group appoints J P Chalasani as group CEO

'Suzlon Group on Saturday announced it has appointed leading power sector professional J P Chalasani as Group CEO.Chalasani is known to focus on improving operations, enhancing and simplifying processes, and leveraging both HR and Finance to position companies for strong and sustainable growth to create value for stakeholders," Suzlon Group chairman Tulsi Tanti said in a statement. "I have always watched Suzlon closely. I believe the business fundamentals to be strong and that the company, at its core, is a compelling and credible business operation," Chalasani said. The Suzlon Group is a renewable energy solutions provider with an international presence across 19 countries in Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa and North and South America. The group has a cumulative installation of approximately 15GW of wind energy capacity, a workforce of over 8,000, a low-cost manufacturing base and strong in-house R&D set-up in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and India.
