Sugs Lloyd bags ongrid electrification project in Bihar

Sugs Lloyd has been awarded a significant order worth ₹327 crore by the South Bihar Power Distribution Company (SBPDCL) for the Ongrid Electrification of Decentralized Distributed Generation (DDG) connected areas across the districts of Jamui, Banka, Nawada, Munger, and Lakhisarai in Bihar.

The project is sanctioned under the Revamped Reforms-Based and Results-Linked Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and covers remote hilly and forest regions.

The scope of work of the order includes Ongrid Electrification of off-grid/DDG connected villages, erection of 11 KV and LT lines, installation of distribution substations (DSS), providing service connections to rural households, and comprehensive design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning. The project is scheduled for completion within 12 months from the date of award.

Commenting on the development, Santosh Shah, Promoter and Chairperson, Sugs Lloyd, said, “This order strengthens our partnership with SBPDCL and demonstrates our capability to deliver complex power distribution projects in challenging geographies.”
