Sridhar Balakrishnan appointed as MD&CEO of ACC Ltd

ACC has informed the stock exchanges that Sridhar Balakrishnan has been appointed as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Company for the period of 5 years. The appointment is subjected to the approval of shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the Company. Prior to this appointment, he was the Chief Commercial Officer, ACC.

ACC has also informed that Neeraj Akhoury, MD&CEO of the Company has tendered his resignation to pursue other career opportunities. However, Akhoury will continue on the Board of the Company as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director. 

Neeraj Akhoury assumed office as MD&CEO in 2017. During his tenure, the Company focused strongly on sustainable development, health and safety, development of new products, etc.
