Resonia has secured a major ISTS project in Karnataka from Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) and will be executed through the SPV Hampapura Power Transmission. The project is set to significantly strengthen the Southern Grid, enhance operational flexibility, and support Karnataka’s rapidly rising electricity demand, driven by the accelerated addition of renewable energy capacity.

In line with India’s ambition of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, the project highlights the critical role of robust and high-capacity transmission networks as Karnataka continues to emerge as a key renewable energy hub, with solar and wind forming the backbone of the state’s evolving power generation landscape.

Commenting on the development, Prashant Sinha, CEO, Resonia, said, “This project marks an important milestone for Resonia and represents a vital reinforcement of Karnataka’s transmission infrastructure. As renewable energy capacity scales at an unprecedented pace, resilient and high-capacity transmission systems are essential to ensure grid stability and reliable power flow. Through the Hampapura project, we are enabling efficient evacuation of clean energy while supporting the state’s long-term power and sustainability objectives. It reflects our strong execution capabilities and our commitment to building future-ready infrastructure for India’s energy transition.”

The transmission corridor traverses diverse and sensitive terrains, requiring careful planning, stakeholder engagement, and environmentally responsible execution. Leveraging advanced engineering practices and strong on-ground execution, Resonia aims to deliver the project efficiently while minimising environmental and social impact.

With this project, Resonia further reinforces its role as a key enabler of India’s clean energy transition, supporting grid resilience, future load growth, and reliable power delivery across the Southern Grid.
