After a hiatus of a couple of years due to Pandemic, exhibitions are back in business and Excon 2022 is the biggest trade fair for construction equipment and technology. What are your plans and preparations for Excon 2022?
Schwing Stetter India(SSI) has always been a Active partner on every edition of Excon and this edition makes it special as it is the first event happening at the Global level, post the devastating pandemic which crippled the entire Expo industry. We are eager to Showcase our latest range of equipment, enhanced with performance and productivity and to have a direct interaction with our esteemed customer and the prospects arising out of the event. We are well prepared for the event even before its postponement from December 2021 to May 2022. Not withstanding the pandemic onslaught , we had hosted our own version of Expo called “ Technovation fest 22” at our Global manufacturing Hub near Chennai which received a tremendous response from our customers which attended the event with all Covid protocol in place. Based on this success, we have initiated several customer engagement activities at the Excon 2021.
Which are the machinery and equipment you are going to display at the Exhibition?
We will be showcasing our latest machines innovated and re-engineered by our R&D team at this event. There will be a complete show of Concreting, Road Construction, Earth moving & Mining Equipment which includes 3 batching plants, 3 Boom Pumps, 7 Excavators, 2 Wheel Loaders, 2 HDD Machines, 5 Truck Mixers and complete range of SLM of Different capacities and 3 Stationary Pumps. Apart from this we also show casing our Shotcrete Pumps, Weigh Bridges and other project completion products.
Are you planning to launch machinery and equipment at the Exhibition? If yes, please share with us the details.
We will be launching new versions of boom pumps, batching plants, cylinder finisher, hydraulic excavators and wheel loaders.
Government’s relentless effort to complete infrastructure projects in the stipulated time has given rise to construction equipment that are stronger, versatile and technologically advanced. How are you supporting the government in this endeavour?
With rising demand for the construction equipment due to fast tracking of NIP Projects and the recently announced Gati Shakthi initiative, there is a need to increase ramp up the production capacity. With this capacity expansion in mind, Schwing Stetter India has inaugurated its fifth and largest manufacturing in 2021. This smart manufacturing facility will cater to the needs of the domestic construction Equipment needs and also for Exports.
What are the key technology and sustainability features of machinery and equipment?
Our equipment are embedded with latest in technology such as IoT in loaders, excavators, pumps and in mixers. Several customer oriented features include remote monitoring and fleet management systems for the readymix concrete players are some the key features which form part of the standard equipment. Sustainability is through reliability of the equipment for which Schwing Stetter is known for, upgradation of features in the existing equipment and a consistent RoI to the customers.
Can you please share a few tips on the importance of CE maintenance and how to execute it?
Consistent maintenance of CE is necessary for a rich dividend on the investment on the equipment. Both the scheduled maintenance and the preventive maintenance will keep the equipment down time to minimum, which in turn could reduce drastically the cascading cost overrun in projects. Today, almost all equipment are equipped with self diagnostic monitors and in-built maintenance reminders, which makes maintenance, a breeze.
What is your demand outlook for fiscal FY23-24 and where do you see growth coming from?
We see a 53% growth YoY projected for 2022. The major projects where SSI equipment can be deployed and be consumed are the off shoots of the NIP projects majorly, super expressways, metro and high speed railways, IT parks real estate, power projects and irrigation projects.
