The construction arm of L&T has bagged order worth Rs. 2,048 crore across two business verticals. The Power Transmission & Distribution Business has won EPC orders worth Rs. 1,633 crore while Water & Effluent Treatment Business has bagged Rs. 415 crore.
The Power Transmission & Distribution Business has bagged a major order for a Main Plant Electrical Package of units 3 & 4 of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project. The Business has also won orders for the construction of 400/220kV Gas Insulated Substation in Andhra Pradesh Capital Region and a 230kV Gas Insulated Substation in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Business has also bagged 765kV and 400kV Transmission line packages from a leading power transmission company.
The Water and Effluent Treatment Business has secured an order for "Providing Underground Sewerage Scheme to Kurichi & Kuniyamuthur area of Coimbatore" from Tamil Nadu Water Supply & Drainage Board for which the business will be laying sewer pipelines of 450 km, construction of RCC manholes, 30 pumping & lifting stations and providing house sewer connections to 69,500 households among others.
