Jindal Aluminum has announced the launch of powder coating services to augment its product offerings in the architectural and industrial applications. The one of its kind environment-friendly powder coating technology is capable of achieving 1/1000 mm level of accuracy. The process involves powder dispersion, electrostatic charge and curing. It gives buyer one of the most durable colour and long-lasting quality finish aluminium, resistant to fading, scratching, wearing and peeling.
The company is set to have a coating capacity of up to 25MT per day with an expected plant availability of 95%. A range of attractive RAL shades and tailored hues in the glossy, semi-glossy, matte-textured and metallic finishes are available for its clients. To certify uniform coating, it makes use of technologically equipped GEMA Swiss spray guns. The non-chromate pre-treatment and Swiss-made automatic facilities of the spray system avoid toxic chemicals in the process thus making it environment-friendly. The entire powder coating plant is sealed to prevent the accumulation of dust particles on the coated profiles surface. The plant is geared to coat extrusions up to 7.5 meters. Furthermore, the quick colour change facility will ensure thorough cleaning and removal of any powder residue post the colour modification process. The curing of the powder is performed in the oven with a dedicated Travel Temperature Recorder (TTR) to monitor and control the temperature in the entire length of the oven for proper curing.
The coating is specially formulated and engineered to last for a longer duration. It provides considerable resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and scratches. These superior coatings have been designed to withstand the harsh elements from UV rays to high heat and humidity.
