JICA signs ODA loan agreements with India

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has signed loan agreements with the Government of India in Delhi, to provide Japanese official development assistance (ODA)  loans of up to a total of 426,814 million yen for four projects in India.

The four projects are the

  • Patna Metro Rail Construction Project (I) (loan amount of 98,612 million yen),
  • The Project for Forest and Biodiversity Conservation for Climate Change Response in West Bengal (loan amount of 9,308 million yen),
  • Rajasthan Water Sector Livelihood Improvement Project (II) (loan amount: 18,894 million yen)
  • and Project for the Construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (IV) (loan amount: 300,000 million yen).
