Jaipur-based GA Infra has secured the contract for designing and constructing the country’s first National Metro Rail Knowledge Centre. Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station in Delhi will house the Metro Rail Knowledge Centre which will be built on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The Knowledge Centre will highlight the growth and development of the metro railway in the country. The Centre will also enlighten the visitors with technical insights on construction and day-to-day operations.
The Knowledge Centre will be build at an estimated cost of Rs 46 crore will be spread over an area of 3,000 square metres. The tender for the same was floated by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
The centre will be of two-storey and will house a simulator room, facility for audio visual screening of films and documentaries and a library to conduct research work with the help of books and other archival publications about the metro.
