Pravin Darade, Additional Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA, visited the alignments of the Dahisar to DN Nagar Metro-2 and Dahisar (east) and Andheri (East) Metro-7 corridors along with MMRDA’s Metro Director PRK Murthy and the senior officials of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. Darade was accompanied by P K Sharma, Project Director, DMRC and Mr.R.K.Hustoo, General Manager, DMRC.
“The visit was imperative as the MMRDA is very keen to begin implementation of the two metro corridors as soon as possible. The city very dearly requires metro corridors to decongest the suburban rail network as also to provide comfortable and safe journey”, said Darade, Additional Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA.
Darade’s visit is considered crucial as the Authority is committed to construct a metro network for the city of Mumbai and Darade is known for his invaluable contribution to the metro projects in Nagpur. The construction of the two elevated Metro rail routes covering a distance of 38.2 km in Nagpur.
