L&T’s construction arm has won orders worth Rs. 1,127 crore across two business segments. The Metallurgical and Material Handling Business has secured an order from Hindustan Zinc for the construction of 1.5 MTPA Lead-Zinc Beneficiation Plant at R D Mines, Rajasthan. The vertical has also secured various add-on jobs from existing customers in both domestic market and well as in the Middle-East region across various product segments.
The Buildings and Factories Business has bagged an order worth Rs. 372 crore. The Business has secured an order for the brownfield expansion of Viscose Staple Fibre manufacturing facility from Grasim Industries (Cellulosic division) at Vilayat, Bharuch, Gujarat. The scope includes civil, structural, architectural and external development works. The business has earlier executed a green-field project at the same location for Grasim industries.
