IIM Bangalore is hosting the 21st Edition of the Asian Real Estate Society's Annual Conference (AsRES) between the 13-15th of July, 2016. The Conference is organised by the Real Estate Research Initiative of IIM Bangalore in association with the University of Melbourne and University of Queensland. AsRES 2016 will feature over 60 international participants from Australia, Europe, the United States of America, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, etc, including some top academics in Real Estate. Peer-reviewed papers will be presented across parallel academic sessions.
The conference also features four panel discussions of interest on Affordable Housing; Sustainability, Livability and Wellness in Real Estate; The Fragility of the World Economy and its impact on Real Estate; and Delivering Infrastructure. The panelists present a good mix of academics and practitioners with vast experience in their specific fields. The Keynote addresses will be delivered by Prof. Rajeev Gowda (Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha); Dr. K.P.Krishnan, IAS, and K.G.Krishnamurthy, HDFC, providing a comprehensive view of Real Estate in India and its challenges and opportunities.
