EESL names Akhilesh Kumar Dixit as new chief executive officer

Energy Efficiency Services (EESL) has appointed Akhilesh Kumar Dixit as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).  Akhilesh Kumar joins EESL from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), where he served with distinction in multiple senior roles across core business functions.

A seasoned professional with over three decades of extensive experience, Dixit brings to EESL a deep understanding of the power sector and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects. He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from Madan Mohan Technical University, Gorakhpur and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from the prestigious Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.

Over the span of his 32-year career, Dixit has held diverse leadership roles across various domains including substation and transmission line operations, business development, corporate social responsibility (CSR), human resources, and procurement. His international exposure and experience with multidisciplinary teams have enabled him to execute several high-impact projects across geographies.

On his appointment as the CEO of EESL, Akhilesh Kumar Dixit said: “It is an honor to lead EESL at a time when energy efficiency is at the core of India’s sustainable development goals.
