Avijit Chaubey is the Technical Head at RDC Concrete. He is a qualified Civil Engineer with 20 years of rich and extensive experience in manufacturing companies, specializing in products and quality. He has expertise in heading product development and product deployment, designing internal control systems to achieve corporate business goals through product strategy. Avijit is proficient in areas such as New Product Development, Quality Management, and possesses exceptional Quality Management skills. He has a strong ability to liaise with suppliers and customers externally, as well as collaborate with internal manufacturing and sales teams. Avijit is well-versed in modern engineering practices and has experience working in sustainability-focused business environments.

Avijit’s expertise lies in designing cement products with diverse properties, creating customized concrete mixes, developing sustainable concrete solutions, addressing construction challenges, analyzing structural failures to drive product enhancement, and exploring emerging construction technologies that contribute to infrastructural development. He has held leadership positions at renowned organizations including Ultratech Cement, ACC Concrete, HCC Ltd, Unity Infra Projects Limited, Gammon India Ltd, and Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd.

He has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur. Throughout his academic journey, he actively engaged in diverse activities and research initiatives centered around concrete quality. His exceptional work was acknowledged with an award from the Union Ministry of Water Resources for a research paper published in the Institute of Engineers journal. Moreover, he contributed to the field through another publication titled ‘Study Of Ultra Low Water Binder Ratio Concrete’ in the ICI Journal. In recognition of his valuable insights, he was honored by SPCL for suggesting an enhancement in silt content determination within sand. Additionally, Avijit developed a software application specifically designed for creating optimal concrete mixes.

Throughout his career, Avijit has authored several groundbreaking industry publications, including a book that he authored “Practical Concrete Mix Design,” “Fly Ash in Concrete,” and “Need for Revisit into Indian Standards in the Civil Construction Review” in September 2008. Additionally, he contributed to the field with articles such as “Design of Parabolic Channels” in the AMIE Journal in February 2001 and “Effect of Lower W/B on Ultra High Performance Concrete” in the Innovative World of Concrete in 2009.’,
