Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Railways, and Texmaco Rail & Engineering (Texmaco), part of the Adventz Group and a leader in rail manufacturing, have signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) to jointly develop India’s next-generation railway ecosystem. The JV will focus on:
- Rolling Stock – design, manufacture, and maintenance of freight wagons, passenger coaches, locomotives, metro coaches, and trainsets.
- Rail Infrastructure – EPC projects for railways and allied sectors.
- Global Outreach – participation in domestic and international tenders.
- Operations and maintenance– management of workshops, depots, and sheds.
On the occasion, Pradeep Gaur, Chairman & Managing Director, RVNL, said: “This partnership is a milestone in India’s journey towards Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. By combining RVNL’s strength in project execution with Texmaco’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, the JV will deliver modern, sustainable, globally competitive future, ready rail solutions for both domestic and international markets.”
Further Saroj Kumar Poddar, Chairman, Adventz Group, emphasised by saying, “This joint venture strengthens India’s capacity to deliver world-class rail infrastructure. It will open doors for innovation, exports, and digital technologies, making Indian railways globally competitive while supporting the country’s self-reliance journey.”
The new JV will focus on freight and passenger rolling stock, including wagons, locomotives, coaches, trainsets, and metro coaches, while also undertaking EPC projects, depot operations, and global tenders, strengthening India’s rail infrastructure and export capabilities.
As part of the agreement, RVNL will hold 51% equity stake, while Texmaco will hold 49% stake.
This collaboration underscores RVNL’s commitment to modernising India’s railway infrastructure and expanding its global footprint, while creating opportunities for exports and advancing the country’s sustainable mobility agenda.
Director (operation) M P Singh and Director( Personnel ) Anupam Ban of RVNL, other senior officials of RVNL and Texmaxo were among those present on the occasion. The signatories to the JV agreement were Manish Agarwal, Principal Executive Director RVNL and Sudipta Mukherjee, Managing Director, Texmaco Rail & Engineering.
