Aurangabad: Keeping the pace of development of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project in Aurangabad, the infrastructure development work would also begin in Bidkin by September.
According to DMIC officials, "Around 3,200 hectares of land have been acquired in Bidkin. Meanwhile, master plan work out for the work of phase-I on around 1000 hectares is in progress, which would begin in September."
DMIC general manager Gajanan Patil said, "Infrastructure work in Bidkin would be done in three phases with an investment of about Rs 1500 crore in each phase."
He said, "Infrastructure work has already started at Shendra under the DMIC project, a global manufacturing and investment destination, and plot allocation for industrial, residential and commercial purposes on 845 hectares of land to begin from September 2016 onwards, around 20 multi-national companies visited Aurangabad to explore business opportunities in the project. Meanwhile, the MNCs including major, medium and small especially from power, auto and electrical sectors are mulling to make investments in Shendra.
He also said that the MNCs include all types of industries major, medium and small especially from power, electrical and auto sectors."
The DMIC general manager Gajanan Patil said, "With a view to speed up the development work for Phase-1 of the Shendra Bidkin Industrial Area (SBIA) in Aurangabad under the ambitious DMIC project, infrastructure development work has kicked off with an investment of Rs 1533 crore."
