Airtel HTC join hands to launch Android-based mobile phone

New Delhi, July (EPC News): Bharti Airtel has partnered with handset maker HTC Corporation to launch India’s first Android based mobile phone.

Android is a mobile platform developed by Google and rivals handset software solutions from companies such as Microsoft.Through the partnership, Airtel subscribers will be able to buy Android-powered HTC Magic bundled with free data download of 100 MB per month for a period of 6 months.

The HTC Magic will be available at a market price of Rs 29,900 at Airtel Relationship Centres and authorized HTC resellers across 17 cities. HTC Magic is a tablet-style device and is suited for mobile internet and multimedia experience.

Airtel customers can avail many utility based applications such as Hello Tune manager, weather channel, mobile search and city search on the HTC Magic.
