Bhushan Steel to set up steel plant in Karnataka

Bangalore, Mar (EPC News): Indian steel major Bhushan Steel Ltd has plans to set up a 6 million tone capacity plant with an investment of Rs28,000 crore in Karnataka, said the company in its press release.

It also said that if the company’s Bengal projects does not show any sign of progress, Bhushan Steel will go first with Karnataka project. However, the firm is set to do both the projects, but will take up one at a time.

In Orissa, BSL has already commissioned the first phase (2.5 million tonnes) of its plant and the second phase would be ready by early 2012. The capacity of the plant would be 5.5-6 million tonnes.
