Mumbai, Aug (EPC News): Electrical equipment maker Stone India said it has bagged an order worth Rs 4.90 crore from Rashtriya Coach Factory, Kapurthala for supplying air springs for railway coaches.

Under the project, the company will supply air springs for 123 coach sets which will be used in 'Duranta Express' of the Indian Railways, Stone India said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The company is manufacturing equipment in collaboration with Sumitomo Electric Industries a leading supplier of such products for bullet trains in Japan.

“The company expects to receive more orders for air spring during the year,'' it added.
