The project mandate includes design, engineering, construction, development, finance and operation of the road stretch between Indore and Jhabua on the Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh border section of NH-59.
The project was awarded by the National Highways Authority of India under the international competitive bidding process with a 25-year concession period, including construction period of two and a half years.
According to a company release, the project will be implemented by a special purpose vehicle to be formed for the project under IVR Prime Urban Developers Ltd, a subsidiary company of IVRCL.
The project corridor located in Madhya Pradesh passes through Indore, Dhar and Jhabua, leading to Ahmedabad connecting Gujarat.
This is aimed at being the shortest road between Indore and Ahmedabad. The scope of work includes rehabilitation, upgrading and widening of the carriageway from two to four lanes throughout the 155-km stretch.
