New Delhi, Oct (EPC News): UNITECH, India’s second-largest real estate player by revenue, on Tuesday said it has reserved sales worth value Rs3,913 crore in the initial six months of the fiscal 2010, selling 10.11 million sq ft, which is nearly the equivalent space sold by it in each of fiscal 2007 and 2008 i.e. the boom years for real estate.

Out of 10.11 million sq ft, 8.16 million sq ft was reserved in the residential section, the company declared in a presentation dated on September 30, which was made open on Tuesday. It said these figures did not include PLC, parking as well as club charges. In the precedent fiscal, Unitech had sold merely about 3 million sq ft in 2008-09, as buyers started away from the real estate sector in the countenance of the global slowdown.
“The objective is to sell 20 million sq ft this year,” Unitech said in its press note.

The regular basic sale cost of its projects despite the fact that has cut down to Rs 3,234 per sq ft all through March-September 2009, equated to an standard of over Rs 4,000 per sq ft for its projects prior to September 2008, signifying that the company’s tactic to sell smaller units at lower prices attracted response from buyers
