Railways freight revenue goes up by 10.8% during Apr-Nov

New Delhi, Dec (EPC News): The Railways have generated Rs37030.48 crore of revenue earnings from commodity-wise freight traffic during April-November 2009 as compared to Rs33638.30 crore during the corresponding period last year.

Registering an increase of 10.08%. Railways carried 574.40 million tonnes of commodity-wise freight traffic during April-November 2009 as compared to 534.60 million tonnes carried during the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 7.44%.
