Ashley Alteams commence its manufacturing facility in Chennai

Chennai, Jan (EPC News): Ashley Alteams India Pvt. Ltd (AAIPL), a 50:50 joint venture between Ashok Leyland and Alteams OY, Finland, today inaugurated manufacturing facility in Cheyyar, near Kanchipuram, said the company release.

The cost of the project is around Rs130 crore.  Alteams OY is a Light Cast Metal Component manufacturer headquartered at Finland.

The new facility will produce high precision aluminium components for the automotive and telecommunication sectors both for the domestic and international markets. The facility has an initial annual capacity of 7000 tones which will be enhanced to 10000 tones per annum progressively.
