BGR Energy bags Rs 1,633 cr power project

Mumbai, Aug (EPC News): Power equipment supplier BGR Energy Systems said it has bagged order worth Rs 1,633.71 crore for the construction of thermal power project.

The company has been awarded the balance of plant contract, or construction of all aspects of the plant including designing, engineering and manufacturing, for 2x500 MW Marwa Thermal Power Project, Chhattisgarh, BGR Energy said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The scope of work also includes erection of equipment, commissioning and guarantee for the coal-based thermal power project, the statement added. The company's current order book is over Rs 12,500 crore, the statement added.
