At Jungheinrich India, we are following all the protocols/SOP stated by local authorities. With all our actions, our main objective is to provide protection to our employees and at the same time serving our customers. For this purpose, early in lockdown, we rolled out measures for facing a new scenario. We empowered our service teams with necessary PPE kits and made safe travel arrangements. Our warehouses & service colleagues were working throughout this difficult time with necessary precautions to meet our delivery commitments and ensure continuity at customer sites.
In this pandemic period e-commerce sector has shown exceptional growth. Keeping with demand and customer’s feedbacks which are the MHE products you have launched for e-commerce sector?
Jungheinrich offers a wide range of innovative Material Handling Products, which are suitable for warehousing solutions. We are one of the leading suppliers of material handling equipment for warehousing applications in India which includes Battery Operated Pallet Trucks, Stackers, Reach Trucks & VNA, Racking’s, etc. Though we are supplying our products & solutions to most of the important market verticals, presently we are seeing a significant portion of our growth is coming from E-Commerce & Retail, Food & Beverage, 3PL, Pharma, Bulk chemicals segments etc. However, we have further strengthened our portfolio in the warehousing segment by introducing cost economical Electric pedestrian and ride-on stacker & Electric ride-on pallet truck. Our Lithium-Ion powered low capacity Battery Operated Pallet Trucks are also gaining popularity in the warehousing segment due to good price-performance ratio and is becoming more effective replacing Hand Pallet Trucks. Our Lithium-Ion technology solutions help customers to utilize Material-handling equipment to their full extent for 3-shift operations and increase their throughput. We also offer a fleet management system for large warehouses where customers had a large fleet at one place this solution supports customer for tracking the utilization of their MHE, live status of the truck, maintenance schedule of the truck, and reporting of accidents on time.

Jungheinrich can serve Warehouse sector for all their Material Handling requirement starting from Manual Hand Pallet Truck, Battery Operated pallet truck, Stackers, Reach truck, and Very Narrow Aisle Truck for height up to 17mtr. Fleet Management System from Jungheinrich assists a customer in better utilization in terms of efficiency and operator management. With the help of the Fleet management System, customers can track the performance of each fleet within the Warehouse and in multiple locations. Customized report can be managed via Fleet Management system in terms of idle time of machine, real-time data, current location of trucks, maintenance schedule, and accident report. Jungheinrich logistic interface can help a customer in connecting their WMS with the Material Handling equipment for paperless operation and inventory management within the racking system. With this connectivity, there will error-free operation and higher throughput will be achieved in less time. Automated Guided Vehicle from Jungheinrich can help a customer in handling their standard operation 24x7 without human intervention.
To maneuver these products requires a definite set of skills. What are skill nurturing training you conduct for the operators?
We conduct safe operation and maintenance training for the operators during the installation and commissioning of all our trucks. During the training, our focus is on safety, correct operation, and proper maintenance practices which the operators and other maintenance staff of the customer have to follow while operating and using Jungheinrich trucks. We also have regular training for our customers where the entire operational and maintenance team of the customer is trained for safe operation and maintenance practices to be followed while operating and using Jungheinrich trucks. This training is designed as per the customer requirement and includes classroom theoretical training and also practical training on the trucks and is conducted in our training centre in Bhiwandi or on the customer premises as per the convenience of the customer.
What are the after-sales services you offer for your warehousing clients?
We have a team of 60+ well-trained service engineers located in different parts of the country. We engage our customers throughout the life cycle of the product by offering them a wide range of services and products such as annual maintenance contracts, full-service contracts and other tailor-made solutions as per the customer requirement. Through individually designed maintenance intervals and state-of-the-art analysis software, our customer service engineers ensure the long-term optimum availability and safety of your forklift trucks while at the same time reducing the risk of downtime and repair costs. We also have a comprehensive training facility located at Bhiwandi for training the customer operators about correct usage and safe operational practices.
For spare parts requirements of the customer, we have three fully functional warehouses in India. Though we have quite a diverse product mix in India. We carry inventory for all fast-moving parts and critical parts in India to support the customer and ensure minimum downtime of our trucks. We also support our customers with various technologically advance Health and Safety related accessories and also provide different attachments for diverse applications.
What are the rental and financial schemes you offer and tie-ups with various financial institutes?
We have been in the rental business in India since 2013 and now have a strong presence across the country. Jungheinrich India caters to a various customer segment with long & short-term rental offerings. Long-term rentals, we provide new powered trucks from our range, other than specially built & customized trucks. We also offer long-term rentals with factory refurbished trucks to meet customer’s quality demand and rental rates. Our short-term rental is typically designed to align with seasonal peak demands of food & beverage, E-commerce, retail, and logistics segments. We serve customers with ready to move fleet at Bhiwandi, Bengaluru & Gurgaon.

We have a strong network of sales & services in India. We are having a modern warehouse and workshop located in Bhiwandi near Mumbai. We also have a warehouse located in Bangalore to support customers in southern regions and a warehouse in Gurgaon to support our customers in North & East regions in India, ensuring the high availability of our equipment and superior customer reach. However, in the future we will further strengthen our sales and service reach by appointing channel partners in tier II & III cities.
