In your views share with us your assessment on the opportunities the year offered for CE segment.
Since there is market for quality equipment manufacturers, we get customers from all over India. Shift towards automation, restriction towards over utilization of natural resources, relevance of green technology for sustainable future have all led to the increased demand of our machine and technology towards the growth of our nation and economy.

Give us an assessment on the demand-supply scenario. How much has the situation improved in regards to clearing of the stock-loads?
Due to extended monsoon this year, and low economy the last quarter was particularly very low. Our customers who booked the order much is advance had to delay lifting the machine due to bad weather which resulted in delaying their project as well as money getting held. However. now the markets are improving, demands are rising and we are getting enquiries, which is a good sign. We expect it getting better in coming months.

Tell us about your recent tech-upgrades and new product launches?
We have made several design changes on our flagship product SPM20 and also launched new and fully automatic Concrete Block Machine SPM30 last year. The Model SPM30 machine is provided with an unique Rack Loader /Unloader Model UL30 made in India with technology from Columbia Machine, USA. UL 30 provides completely automatic loading and unloading the production pallets in to the Racks. Further cured products are automatically cubed on wooden pallets using the Plate Style Cuber PSC 200 again made in India with technology provided by Columbia Machine USA. This increased Pallet and product handing efficiency and improves productivity as well as reduces product handling damages drastically. We have made numerous design changes on our flagship model SPM20 to make it more price effective and suited to the everchanging demands of the market. Now we can make products as short as 25mm and tall as 175mm. Another enhancement is the special mold design with core puller arrangement. This is a special attachment/accessory to model SPM 20 block machine similar to front feed drawer. This works with the specially designed molds to produce speciality products on SPM 20 machine like Flyash bricks with hole, interlocking solid blocks and special retaining wall blocks.  local sales and service network, along with our easily available local spare parts, moulds and training facilities, provide unmatched world-class support locally. Our team of experienced engineers can design a plant to fit local production needs as well as provide installation support and training for plant personnel.  We have a full team of service engineers who continuously provide after sales service and also include Installation, commissioning and successful trials. The customer has access to our 24 hrs customer service help line number where engineers take care of all queries from customers.

What are your expectations from Excon 2019 and the opportunities brought along with it? Are you planning any product launches?
A show like Excon provides us a platform to showcase new technologies and products to the industry in a specific geography/region. It also provides an opportunity to connect with existing customers, producers and competitors and exchange notes and views with them. It brings the entire industry together on one platform in India. Apart from walk-ins from all over India, we also had visitors from neighbouring countries which is a good sign. We have been participating in all editions of the show. It is also organized in major countries across the globe and it has created a bench mark of high-quality business environment.

What will be your selling point/strategy of display in Excon 2019?
Columbia has close to 300 Automatic Concrete Block Plants working in India. Most of these plants are working with semi-automatic working systems for the handling of pallets with green and cured products. Indian customers are slowly and steadily moving towards automation. We have developed automatic handling systems for our small pallet machines. This will be available for sale to our existing customers and prospects. We are displaying automatic handling systems at our booth at Excon this year.
