Tech Mahindra has announced an INR 270 crore deal to enable digital transformation for Coal India which will span over five years. This is aimed at enterprise modernisation of Coal India. Tech Mahindra will be setting up an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in Coal India and its subsidiaries and will install state-of-the-art information technology system. This system will provide all necessary information based on real-time data and help the management in taking quick and timely decisions to achieve desired results.
As per the agreement between Tech Mahindra and Coal India, the deployment would be in phases. In the first phase ERP will be implemented in Coal India & its two subsidiaries - Mahanadi Coalfields and Western Coalfields. The agreement also includes supply & implementation of HIMS (Hospital Information management System) across all eight subsidiaries of Coal India, covering 21 hospitals.
