Shriram EPC awarded order from Tanzania in JV with Larsen & Toubro
Shriram EPC Limited (SEPC) one of the leading service providers of integrated design, engineering, procurement, construction and project management services for infrastructure project in Roads & Highways, Water & Sewer, Renewable energy, process and metallurgical plants and municipal service sector projects throughout India has been awarded an overseas contract for an amount of USD 1,07,760,000 to be executed in JV with Larsen & Toubro out of which SEPC share will be 25%.
This engineering and procurement and construction order has been secured from the Ministry of Water & Irrigation United Republic of Tanzania for the extension of water transmission pipeline from the Lake Victoria Water Supply scheme to Tabora, Nzega and lgunga Towns (Package II).
The scope of the work involves survey, design, procurement, construction and installation or pumping stations, rising and gravity/mainlines, elevated and ground level storage reservoirs, branch lines and distribution network and water kiosks for the creation of a comprehensive water supply and transmission pipeline to Tabora town and 33 other villages that are en route.
