IOCL, HPCL & BPCL (Oil Marketing Companies) and Common Service Centre (CSC) e-Governance Services India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration in LPG services. According to the MoU, CSC will help OMCs to provide the beneficiaries services such as booking new LPG connection (Ujjwala & General category), booking of LPG refills (14.2 Kg cylinders) and Supply & distribution of LPG cylinders (storage up to 100 Kgs) through CSCs at their doorstep.
Speaking on the Occasion, Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship said that this MoU will help in addressing the last mile gap and reach the rural and far-flung areas, by appropriate use of the technology and harnessing the entrepreneur spirit of the people of India.
He further said that the digital platforms in the past have been successfully used in the schemes of DBTL in de-duplication of the LPG connections and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) in release of 5.75 Crore Ujjwala connections in just two and half years.
