Niti Aayog is working on a series of policy measures to support the ailing construction sector, Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog, said.
"The aim is to give fresh life to and support the construction sector, especially companies suffering from huge debt and in cases where arbitration has gone in their favour,” Kant said at the NAREDCO summit on real estate here.
The policy is in the advanced stages and should be out within two-three months, he added.
"We have held inter-ministerial meetings with construction companies and financial institutions. We will bring out a policy that is a win-win for all stakeholders, including government," he added.
