The 47 km long Dravyawati River which is located between Jaisalya Village at the foothills of the Nahargarh Fort and the River Dhund, has deteriorated into a Nallah, over  the last 100 years. At various places, polluted water from nearby areas, garbage and debris have caused comprehensive damage to the condition of this river. Therefore, to give a new life to this river, Jaipur Development Authority has given a contract to a consortium of M/s TATA Projects Limited and Shanghai Urban Construction Group at a project cost of INR 1,676 Crores to complete the work by October 2018. The consortium will be responsible for the maintenance of this project for 10 years from the completion of the project.

In this project, besides the amortization of 170 MLD polluted water, more than 100 fall structures will be constructed to ensure the availability of water in this channel throughout the year. About 16,000 trees will be planted and 65,000 square meters green area will be developed under this project. Jaipur Development Authority has already given a mobilisation advance of Rs. 24 crores for the project. Additionally, places have been marked in Sevapura and Mathuradaspura to dispose the debris. Land has also been made available near the Mazaar Dam at Kishanbagh, Sushilpura, Devri, Jhalana Chowd, near the Sanga Bridge at Sanganer, Bambala, Delawaas and Jirota village for sewerage treatment plant, batch mix plant, office and store.
