The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro has won orders worth Rs. 3,376 crore. The Power Transmission & Distribution Business has secured orders worth Rs. 1,226 Crore from Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited for supply, erection, testing & commissioning of a 220kV double circuit transmission line from Srinagar to Rudrapur.
Another order has been secured from a reputed utility customer in South India to build substations and Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking (BEST) and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) for strengthening of sub-transmission and distribution networks under the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS). The company has also secured orders from the Middle East, Africa and ASEAN countries for construction of substations and transmission lines.
The Water & Effluent Treatment Business has secured an order worth Rs. 1,200 Crore from the Water Resources Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh for the execution of Kundalia Irrigation Project – Left Bank. The Project envisages to provide water for Micro-Irrigation to more than 60,000 Hectares of the Culturable Command Area in Agar Malwa District of Madhya Pradesh by lifting water from the left bank of the Kundalia reservoir on the Kalisindh river. The scope includes survey, investigation, design, procurement, construction & installing of pumping system, rising & gravity main line / branch lines / distribution network, with control and automation systems.
The Buildings & Factories Business has secured orders in health and automobile sector worth Rs. 950 Crore from two prestigious clients.
