Government of Karnataka, Department of Commerce & Industries in association with CII organized B2G Meetings during “Make in India Conference Roadshow in Kolkata”.
“Make in India” initiative was launched globally in September 2014 by Government of India with focus on invigorating the country’s manufacturing sector.
Government of Karnataka in association with DIPP, Govt of India and CII is organizing ‘Make in India’ Conference on 13th & 14th February, 2017 at The Lalit Ashok in Bengaluru.
As a prelude to Make in India Conference, Mr. R. V. Deshpande, Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, Government of Karnataka, led a high level delegation along with the senior Govt officials to Kolkata to attract investments to Karnataka in various sectors. The delegation had B2G Meetings on 6th December 2016 with more than 15 companies covering various sectors.
Hon’ble Minister met Mr H M Bangur, MD, Shree Cements; Mr Chitranjan Dar, Group Head - Central Projects, ITC Ltd; Mr Ravi Poddar, Chairman, Ravi Auto Ltd; Mr Ghanashyam Sarda, Chairman, Agarpara Jute Mills Ltd & Sarda Group; Mr S K Bangur, Chairman, West Coast Paper Mills Ltd; Mr Subir Chaki, Whole Time Director, McNally Bharat Engg. Co. Ltd, Mr Bikramjit Nag, Joint Executive Chairman & MD, IFB Industries Ltd, besides others.
During the meetings all the companies evinced interest in investing in Karnataka. Hon’ble Minister assured the companies all the required infrastructure and support for implementation of their projects in the State and invited them to participate in the forthcoming Make in India Conference on 13-14 February 2017 in Bengaluru.
