Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has canceled a tender for procurement of 500 MW of electricity generated from wind power. The tender has been cancelled after the bidders raised certain issues. This tender has been delayed several times since it was floated in the last week of February.
The company in a press release has informed that wind tender for purchase of 500 MW grid connected wind power through competitive bidding process (Phase II) with additional 500 MW of power under Greenshoe option is hereby cancelled and the bidding process is annulled.
"GUVNL shall be coming out with a fresh Tender in due course of time," the press release further stated.
The tender was floated by the company on February 23 this year, but due to some reason the deadline for the bids got extended on a number of occasions.
