Chhattisgarh gets its first five-star rated green building “Paryavas Bhawan”
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh will inaugurate the state’s first five-star rated green building at Sector - 19 in the new capital city Naya Raipur .
The mega- composite establishment, which houses the set-up of Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA), Chhattisgarh State Housing Board and Raipur Development Authority (RDA), has been built in an area of 15000 square metre at an estimated cost of Rs 59.56 crore.
All the three departments will be inter-connected through internal corridors.
According to the officials, the five-storeyed building has 430 rooms and six conference halls.
“The Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) has conferred a five-star rating to this building constructed in Naya Raipur where the concept of environment-friendly development has been the standard norm strictly followed”, it was told.
A 200 KW solar power plant has been set up along with sufficient provision for rain water harvesting. Ample space for parking of over 250 four wheelers and two-wheelers exist in the premises of the newly constructed Bhawan. Besides an auditorium of 220 seat additionally has been proposed to be constructed.
The foundation of Paryavas Bhawan was laid by the chief minister on 22 April 2013.
The inaugural function will be attended by several ministers, distinguished guests, senior officials and representatives of the corporates.
